Bert Hunter, EVP/CIO for the Connecticut Green Bank, will be presenting "Green Banks: Financing the Transition to Clean Energy in the Built Environment"
Green Banks are mission-driven institutions that use innovative financing to accelerate the transition to clean energy and fight climate change. In 2011, Connecticut established the nation's first statewide green bank, which has since attracted over $2.26 billion in capital for clean energy projects while reducing energy costs for over 60,000 families and 6,500 businesses. Louisiana is working to establish a statewide green bank, and New Orleans already has one in Finance New Orleans. Additionally, the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act allocated $100 billion in federal funding for clean energy and energy efficiency initiatives, and green banks are uniquely poised to deliver this capital. Join us on November 14 to learn how green banks can help scale up energy efficient and clean energy solutions.

Bert Hunter leads the Connecticut Green Bank finance team’s development of new and innovative financing programs that attract more private capital to scale-up the state’s clean energy investments, including energy efficiency, renewables and alternative fuel vehicles and associated infrastructure.
The lecture event will include a discussion with TuSA Real Estate Development adjunct faculty Annie Clark, Chief Programs Officer at Finance New Orleans, and Jackie Dadakis, CEO at Green Coast Enterprises.
