Lecture Series: Peggy Deamer

“Re-Working Work” presented by Peggy Deamer, Professor Emerita at Yale School of Architecture. Sponsored by the Azby Fund.

In-Person Lecture | Sept. 19, 5:15pm - 7pm CT

This lecture will reexamine architectural work. It will explore how the institutions that shape our work (academic and professional) are bent more on preserving their role in the status quo than producing architects capable of dealing with 21 century problems. It will try to imagine alternate constructions of “an architect”.

After her initial presentation, Deamer will be joined by a faculty respondent for an interdisciplinary conversation about her remarks and to answer any audience questions. The faculty respondent is: Carol McMichael Reese, Ph.D., Favrot IV Professor, Tulane School of Architecture.

The lecture will take place in Kendall Cram Lecture Hall in Tulane University's Lavin-Bernick Center. This lecture is open to the public through registration below. This event will follow all Tulane and CDC COVID-19 restrictions.
