It is part of the Spring 2026 Lecture Series and Public Programs: "Common Good."

Brenna Walraven is an internationally recognized leader in commercial real estate and sustainability. With more than 30 years of expertise, she has excelled at leading large, diverse real estate organizations and advising top institutional investors. As Executive Strategic Advisor for RE Tech Advisors, she helps organizations develop and implement business-case-focused environmental, social, governance, and resilience (ESG+R) strategies across operations, asset management, and investor engagement. She previously founded and led Corporate Sustainability Strategies, which was acquired by Legence, a Blackstone portfolio company, and merged with RE Tech Advisors.

A longtime industry volunteer and mentor, Brenna made history as the first woman to serve as chairman and chief elected officer of BOMA International in the association’s 100-plus-year history. She also helped create industry education programs around efficiency and business-case sustainability that have trained tens of thousands of real estate professionals.

Deeply committed to developing the next generation of leaders, Brenna brings both expertise and passion to her work and enjoys helping organizations and teams pursue excellence while doing well by doing good. planning for largescale flood infrastructure with the County of Los Angeles. He serves on multiple international professional scientific committees and sits on editorial boards for two academicjournals. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University, a D.E.A from the Sorbonne in France, an M.Sc. in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from UCLA.
