The Design Showcase is a pop-up exhibit and celebration of the Spring 2023 semester's work from the Design program. Projects from eight Design courses and more than 100 students will be featured —prints pinned up, prototypes on display, digital work on screen, and wearable designs on the runway. This inaugural event is a chance to celebrate the creative growth and academic success of our students over food, drinks, and music!

Doors open at 5pm. The Fashion Show starts at 6pm.

This event is open to TuSA students and family/friends, as well as faculty and staff, local designers, and 'VIP' outside guest reviewers.

Designs and courses being featured include:

  • Backpack project from course DESG 1005 - Fundamentals of Design & Making with Jill Stoll (coordinator), Hannah Berryhill, Bryan Bradshaw, Hannah Kenyon (coordinator), Marion Forbes
  • Design for the Cause project from course DESG 2305 - Visual Communication for Advocacy with Meghan Saas (coordinator), Adam Newman, Ray Fontaine
  • Light Fixture Design project from course DESG 2005 - Design Studio II with Hannah Berryhill (coordinator), Nick Perrin, Bruno Soria
  • Textile Construction project from course DESG 3005 - Design Studio III with Bo Choi
  • Portmanteau project from course DESG 3010 - Prototyping Solutions with Nick Perrin
  • Sustainable Design project + Wearable Technology project from DESG 4930 - Textile Design with Bo Choi
  • NOLA Knowledge Infographic Poster project from DESG 4932 - Motional Graphics: Data & Storytelling with Meghan Saas
  • Design Senior Capstone project from DESG 4950 - Capstone with Jill Stoll (coordinator), Meghan Saas, Nick Perrin
