Jordan Matthews White graduated from Tulane School of Architecture in 2013 and is now a Senior Architect at Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, Florida.

Her role helps coordinate the creative intent from design to construction, including helping to manage a team of subject matter experts in the themed entertainment industry. No two days are the same, and challenges can range from high level planning to specific, technical details.

Recently, she had the opportunity to work on the Disney Skyliner, an aerial transportation system at Walt Disney World that connects 4 resorts to 2 theme parks. Each station was designed specifically to be the prelude for their destinations, serving as an introduction to the immersive storytelling experience for guests. This variety led to unique station architectural themes that range from Art Nouveau at Epcot with hand painted murals depicting the idea of ‘flight’ to whimsical and wavy rooflines inspired by the sketchbook pages at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Nearly 300 themed gondolas featuring magical Disney touches and details dot the horizon, with some adorned with iconic characters.

“I love being a part of the team on these amazing projects that bring a smile to our guests’ faces, making their day at the parks a bit more magical.”
