Brent Lief
Brent Leif, an accomplished professional in design and construction, discovered his passion for architecture long before earning his degrees. Graduating from Tulane University, he received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1996 and Master of Architecture in 2004.
Since then, he has undertaken prestigious projects, leaving an indelible mark on the sports and urban development landscape. During his time at Tulane, Leif immersed himself in the architectural world, interning at Eskew + Filson Architects in New Orleans. His invaluable experience there provided insights into an active architectural practice and led him to represent the firm during the construction of the iconic IMAX theater at the New Orleans Audubon Aquarium.
Beyond academia, Leif embraced artistry as an assistant at Tulane University ByWater Institute's Studio in the Woods, developing a unique approach to blending form and function.
Following graduation, Leif joined the Hunt Construction Group in Phoenix, AZ, contributing to the construction of Bank One Ballpark (now Chase Field), MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks' home. This endeavor exposed him to the first retractable domed sports facility in the continental United States, shaping his future career.
Moving to San Francisco, CA, Leif thrived in Hunt's construction management team, leaving his mark on the iconic Pacific Bell Park (now Oracle Park), home to the 8-time World Champion MLB San Francisco Giants.
Leif's expanding project portfolio spanned Arizona, Oregon, and Northern California, including notable works like the Arizona Biltmore's Ballroom & Garage, Phoenix's CityScape mixed-use development, and the San Jose and Sacramento Convention Centers.
As Design Development Manager for the NFL Arizona Cardinals' State Farm Stadium, designed by Peter Eisenman, Leif contributed to the first sloped retractable roof and playing field in the United States.
Today, Brent Leif is an Executive Vice President for AECOM Hunt in the San Francisco Bay area, continuing to pioneer in architecture and construction, enriching communities and inspiring future generations.
