Angela Kyle
Florida Panhandle-born Angela Kyle (MSRED'21) has a diversified career across decades, covering six states and two countries. After moving from London to New Orleans in 2010, she made significant strides in media, entertainment, and marketing.
At the New Orleans Business Alliance, Angela headed business development and marketing. Her tenure at NOLABA and global urban design firm Gehl ignited her passion for transformative placemaking.
In 2012, Angela co-launched PlayBuild, a non-profit in Central City, turning neglected lots into community spaces for children. Partnered with the Phyllis M. Taylor Center, PlayBuild has involved numerous Tulane students in various programs. Teaming up with the Mayor’s Office of Youth & Families and MSRED Director, Casius Pealer, she drove the "Goals for Child-Friendly New Orleans" initiative.
After her 2021 MSRED completion, Angela consulted for the City of Pensacola on urban design with SCAPE and championed Jennie’s Legacy, advocating for sustainable neighborhood development near Carpenter’s Creek. In 2022, she joined Mayor D.C. Reeves' Transition Team and now sits on the Miraflores Burial Ground Study Community Advisory Group.
Currently, Angela is a Vice President at JLL’s Sustainability Consulting, steering client growth in the US Central region and the Financial Services sector.
A Brown and Columbia Universities graduate, Angela is affiliated with ULI, NOMA, and CREW. She's now on the Board of Directors of the Cultural Landscape Foundation. A dual US-UK citizen, Angela's been with the British American Project for 15 years. She splits her time between Pensacola and New Orleans, concentrating on redeveloping PlayBuild's Central City location.
