Digital Media

Digital Building Rendering

This course introduces digital tools and techniques and their application in architectural and landscape architectural production. The primary objective is to cultivate a drawing practice that fosters critical thinking, the testing of design ideas, and effective communication across disciplines. Each week explores fundamental concepts in representation covering various two- and three-dimensional media types and workflows. Students will work through orthographic (plan, section, elevation), axonometric, and perspective projection drawings using mixed media, with strong emphasis on integrating digital drawing techniques applicable to both architecture and landscape architecture.

The course utilizes lecture and workshop formats to encourage critical perspectives and develop practical techniques. Classes will consist of lectures, discussions, workshops, and pin-up critiques. During lectures, the instructor will provide historical and professional context for the content, while clearly articulating lesson objectives.
