ACADEMIC ADVISING at Tulane University consists of a dual network of advisors working together to ensure each student’s academic success. Newcomb-Tulane College provides each student with a core curriculum advisor to help guide them through the college’s general education requirements.
The School of Architecture has a professional major advisor who works specifically with our students on the complexities of the Bachelor of Architecture curriculum as well as the Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree. The goal of these major advising sessions is to ensure that each student is progressing toward graduation in a way that fits in with their particular academic requirements and aspirations. CAREER DEVELOPMENT at the School of Architecture provides students with guidance, opportunities, contacts and skills to launch and build successful careers. The program uses workshops and one-on-one meetings to give students an understanding of situations they might encounter in their job search and in the profession.
We also connect students with a network of professionals, including alumni and firms interested in the talented designers from Tulane. By working with students throughout their academic careers, we are able to recommend potential matches for students and firms. Click here for more information and resources for career development.
