Shyla Krishnappa

Communications Specialist II

Shyla Krishnappa is the Communications Specialist II for the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment. She oversees the school's social media channels, creates digital content, supports graduate admissions marketing, and shares the stories of the people and projects that make the school unique.

Shyla earned bachelor's degrees in Design and Psychology from Tulane University, where she discovered a passion for combining visual communication with human-centered storytelling. Before joining the marketing and communications team full-time, she worked as a Communications Aide, helping manage the website, promote events, and showcase student and faculty achievements.

As both an alumna and former student, Shyla enjoys highlighting the creativity, collaboration, and impact of the school community. Outside of Tulane, Shyla has worked with local nonprofit Recirculating Farms and local design practice Also Known As.
