Joshua Johnson

Academic Advisor

Joshua R. Johnson is the in-house academic advisor for undergraduate students in the School of Architecture. He works within the Assistant Dean’s office to support students both inside and outside of the classroom. All TuSA undergraduate students are encouraged to meet with Joshua for course planning and academic coaching. Originally from South Carolina, Joshua began his academic journey at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. He completed a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication at Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. Having initially worked in the field of communications, Joshua was compelled by his interests to accept a role in admissions at the University of New Orleans. From there, he entered the advising space where he has ushered a broad range of students through academic curricula since 2017. In the Fall of 2024, Joshua joined the School of Architecture. He is excited about helping students achieve their personal and professional goals through a holistic and professional approach to advising.
