Ray Fontaine

Adjunct Lecturer

Fontaine is a designer, artist, systems thinker, and “fixer.” Born in New Orleans, Ray moved to San Diego to Dallas to New York to Tokyo to London and back to NOLA exploring various career paths, learning new ideas and creative skills along the way.

Ray strives to create effective and artful advertising and advocacy campaigns built for companies using impact business models. Fontaine values authenticity, inclusivity, and lifelong learning

She has brought visions to life for the likes of Saturday Night Live, MTV’s Wild N’ Out, RedBull Music Festival, Elements NYC, Figment Festival, Camp Bisco, and Buku Music + Art Project. As an internationally acclaimed designer, she led teams to exhibit in Dubai Design Week, Mobile Asia in Singapore, and IE KMD Venture Day in Tokyo in addition to holding a residency at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator. As a Pratt Institute and Tulane University Alumna, her educational background focuses mainly on design innovation, business management, and entrepreneurship.  

In New Orleans, Ray Fontaine played major roles in the marketing department of Tulane University School of Architecture, LifeCity, and Jericho Road Episcopal Housing Initiative before launching her own creative agency, Bywater Branding Services. Bywater Branding Services LLC is a boutique marketing and media agency, created to get creative with community leaders and help good companies grow. Bywater Branding services as a platform for Fontaine and her team to collaborate with small local business owners who want to make the world a better place.
