Patricia Fraile Garrido
Visiting Assistant Professor
Patricia Fraile Garrido received her Master's degree in Architecture from ETSA Madrid in 2014. Since then, she has been involved in teaching, research and practice in different contexts in the United States and Europe, developing her work through interdisciplinary approaches.
Her professional practice ranges from international architectural competitions and urban design proposals to small-scale commercial and residential interiors, collaborating with firms such as Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra and Isabel López Vilalta in Spain, and more recently the Chattanooga Design Studio in the US. In the academic field, she has been an assistant professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
Fraile Garrido is currently a Ph.D. candidate at her alma mater. Her dissertation focuses on collaborative processes in architecture and urbanism, with an emphasis on temporary architecture, post-disaster, self-help, and community engagement.
