Adjunct Lecturer, Real Estate Development

In addition to teaching at Tulane, Joe is the Director of Member Success for Backflip - a real estate technology company and lender whose mission is to empower entrepreneurs to revitalize homes, so current and future generations can love where they live. 

Prior to joining the founding team of Backflip, Joe worked in commercial real estate development and capital markets in Dallas, TX,  Denver, CO and New Orleans, LA. Throughout his career, he has been part of the capitalization of more than $2.5 billion in real estate development and investment. 

Joe aims to bring a very practical and fundamentals-first approach to the classroom with a focus on helping students grasp the essential elements of deal making, investment analysis and asset management.

He lives in Bayou St. John with his wife, Meredith - who studied Architecture at Tulane - and their two children, Arthur and Georgia.
