John L. Renne is a recognized leader in transit-oriented development (TOD), sustainable urbanism, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI),
integrating real estate, land use, transportation, and technology to build walkable, resilient, and sustainable communities.

Dr. Renne is a prolific scholar, with four published books and an extensive record of peer-reviewed publications. His books, including Adaptation Urbanism and Resilient Communities (2021) and
Transit Oriented Development (2009), have shaped the discourse on how cities can adapt to climate change and improve quality of life through innovative urban design. He has a new book contract with Cambridge University Press for Green Transit-Oriented Development, further advancing thought leadership in sustainable development.

Over the past 25 years, Dr. Renne has held teaching and research appointments at Rutgers, Murdoch and Curtin Universities in Australia, the University of New Orleans, Oxford University, Florida Atlantic University, and Tulane. He was recognized as the Scholar of the Year at Florida Atlantic University in 2023.

In addition to his accomplishments in real estate and urban planning, Dr. Renne is at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into cities. He is pursuing a second Master’s degree in Computer
Science, specializing in AI, and has recently earned a Certificate in Big Data Analytics, positioning him at the cutting edge of technological innovation in smart cities.

As Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Priority Funds, LLC, Dr. Renne advances investment strategies that prioritize walkability and sustainability, supporting the development of vibrant mixed-use neighborhoods across the United States. Through his teaching, research, and professional practice, Dr. Renne empowers the next generation of developers, planners, and designers to envision and realize cities defined by sustainability, innovation, and resilience.
