Jesus Meseguer  

Visiting Assistant Professor in Architecture 

Jesus Meseguer is a Spanish architect. He studied his degree and Master in the Polytechnic School of Madrid. Also as part of his education, he did an exchange program at the University  of Tokyo.  

Jesus practiced architecture by working in different international and Spanish offices, where he  was involved in a range of projects such as housing, public buildings and public spaces. Also, as collaborator for different offices, he has developed pavilions and art exhibitions at museums  and galleries in London (Whitechapel Gallery, Serpentine Gallery), Madrid (Impact Hub,  Fundación Telefonica), Tokyo (Spiral Gallery, Tokyo Designers Week, Ginza Gallery), Orleans  (FRAC Centre Biennale), Venice (TBA 21 Ocean Space) and Shanghai (13th Biennale Power  Station of Art). 

For these past years, he has been developing his own practice, working in different projects  such as housing refurbishments, competitions, experimental projects, object design and research. Through this different media he has been investigating critical environmental practices and new ecological materials. Amongst other projects, he has developed “The Waste  Archive”, a collection of devices that reinterpret traditional objects through debris reuse. His  work has been published in different media and exhibited in ARCO Madrid Art fair (2023),  Melbourne Designers Week (2022), Glasgow Mackintosh School of Architecture (2019), Fukushima (2015) and Venice Architecture Biennale (2012).
