Jesse Toohey

Adjunct Lecturer, Millhaus Manager

Jesse Toohey is an emerging digital fabricator and generative designer. After graduating from Tulane, Jesse became the Technical Lead at SFDS, a scenic and event fabrication shop in New York City. At SFDS, they worked on various projects from large scale experiential activations to televised productions and technical art installations across the US.

As Millhaus Manager, Jesse brings industry-leading manufacturing experience to the student-run space to optimize workflows, improve safety and maintenance practice, and expand student’s capabilities in fabrication.

Alongside their role at Millhaus, Jesse is assisting teaching teams, continuing work in the scenic industry, and renovating their home in New Orleans. Outside of work, they like to go rock climbing, solve puzzles, practice new artistic mediums (they’re currently learning to tattoo!), and find interesting pieces at vintage + reclamation stores.
