Cassidy Rosen

Adjunct Lecture in Architecture

Cassidy is an artist, gardener, architectural designer, and educator in New Orleans. She is originally from the mountains of Colorado outside of Vail. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder where she completed a dual degree in environmental design and ethnic studies with a certificate in multicultural leadership. She is interested in architecture that addresses the broader context of contemporary US society from a social, cultural, and physical lens. She has now called New Orleans home for eight years and moved down to complete her master’s in architecture degree at Tulane. After graduating from Tulane, she worked for EskewDumezRipple, where she had the opportunity to work on several different project types, from housing to lab spaces for LSU to secondary education buildings. She now works at the nationally renowned firm, Multistudio within its New Orleans’ office off Magazine Street. Through her education and professional experiences, she learned about the importance of understanding and addressing our privileges. She is interested in the power dynamic between architect and community and constantly strives to design with respect, empathy, and humility. She believes in the future of the profession of architecture to truly question its role and its ability to tackle the problems that our society is clearly in need of solving.
