Andrea Elnems

Director for Finance and Budget

Andrea Elnems graduated from Columbia University, majoring in Economics. She worked in New York as a banker in the areas of corporate finance, commercial banking, and investments. After relocating to Miami, she received her Master of Business Administration with a focus in Finance and Leadership from University of Miami Business School.

She developed an interest in education administration after becoming a parent, and she has had more than a decade of experience in higher education administration.

As staff at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, she worked with admissions, law journal operations, accreditation reports, and growing the L.L.M. program. She then joined Teachers College of Columbia University as the Assistant Director of the Summer Principals Academy in New Orleans, where she successfully managed the complex details of running an off-campus program, while proudly contributing to the development and growth of future education leaders. 

After working at Columbia University, she joined Tulane Law School as senior staff. As the Associate Director for Finance and Administration at Tulane Law School, she served in the areas of Budgeting, planning, operations management, staff management, and human resources management. In August 2022, Andrea Elnems became the Director for Finance and Budget at Tulane School of Architecture proudly serving its students, faculty, staff, and community.
