Cynthia Dubberley

Adjunct Lecturer in Architecture

Cynthia Dubberley, AIA, LEED AP, has spent the last 25 years working in some of New Orleans leading architectural firms. She was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan and migrated to New Orleans when she attended Tulane University, where she graduated in 1998 with a Masters in Architecture.

A creative problem-solver, she knew she wanted to be an architect at the age of four.

Since then, she has been nationally recognized by the Building Design and Construction Magazine: Top 40 Under 40 Award as a leader in the industry and her projects have won numerous local and national design awards. Cynthia deftly balances a big-picture overview against attention to detail to create elegant, contextual designs that span from historic restoration to new construction for schools, hospitality, hospitals, and multi-family residential. Deeply involved in her community, she serves on the Architectural Review Committee of the New Orleans Historic District Landmark Commission. Her passion for teaching stems from a desire to give back to the profession and inspire a new generation of architects.
