On May 14 and 15, TuSABE co-hosted an Urban Groundwater Monitoring workshop with the City of New Orleans and Dutch water management experts from Deltares. The workshop detailed the findings of nearly 20 years of research and data gathering to understand New Orleans complex hydrogeological conditions.
The workshop included a training on the use of a groundwater model developed for New Orleans that can be used to plan for the future. All documents from the workshop can be accessed online at: https://publicwiki.deltares.nl/spaces/WMNO/overview
This website is intended to provide information about (ground)water management for New Orleans project to 'Reshape the Urban Delta'. This project, made possible by funds from National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC), aims to deliver groundwater and subsurface insights and data to help the planning of initiatives that increase flood resilience.
