Faculty Recognition
Tiffany Lin, Associate Professor and Director of the Design Program, was recognized for her dedication as an educator at Commencement 2022.
Tiffany Lin, Associate Professor and Director of the Design Program at Tulane University School of Architecture, was awarded one of two Weiss Presidential Fellowships for Undergraduate Teaching. The award, Tulane's highest recognition for undergraduate education, was announced at Commencement 2022.
Lin has been teaching at the school since 2009, developing beginning design pedagogy and coordinating core studios. She encourages students to be curious, flexible, and find joy in the design process.
“I have never met a more passionate educator. She strives to not only teach students technicalities of design but to also instill a sense of care and artistry in every aspect of architecture,” a student writes of Lin’s teaching style.
Another student praised Lin’s relationship with her students: "I felt nurtured and supported through taking risks and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone ... she is constantly working to make her classroom more accessible and equitable without sacrificing the quality of her teaching."
