"Consumer Cloth" Exhibition at Baton Rouge Gallery

Professor of Practice Jill Stoll will present six new works from her ongoing Consumer Cloth series at the Baton Rouge Gallery of Contemporary Art, on view from August 29 to September 21.

Using deconstructed cardboard boxes—materials tied to her own patterns of consumption—Stoll meticulously weaves layered compositions that transform discarded packaging into richly textured “cloth.”

Year: 2024-2025
These pieces reflect on sustainability, personal narrative, and the hidden beauty of the everyday, continuing her exploration of design, craft, and contemporary life.
