Thesis Exhibition 2021
Produced by Jesse Toohey and Nicholas LiCausi
The Thesis 2021 exhibition takes visitors through a digital recreation of Richardson Memorial Hall's large lecture hall as a virtual experience to showcase Spring 2021 Thesis students at Tulane School of Architecture. Using the Unity cross-platform game engine, walk through the space and experience all 27 projects (scroll below).
The team explored multiple software and service options to best adapt to the changing standards of presentation, deciding that Unity and custom programming were the most sensible and intuitive. This space is intended to be a bridge between the familiar “in-person” review structure and the past year of hybrid online instruction.
The team used a 3D scan of the space to remotely produce a dimensionally accurate digital model. Matterport Scan by Victor Garcia. Scroll below to see a video simulating the virtual exhibition.
