Tulane School of Architecture (TuSA) remains open with most faculty and staff working remotely. Students can be granted access to work in the building only with prior approval from the school. Tulane is working with students who have difficult personal circumstances that would make leaving campus a challenge or will face complications in online learning once they return home. In response, we have set up the Tulane Student Emergency Aid and Assistance Fund to address current student needs.

The objective of this course is to build students’ multi‐disciplinary understanding of the design and implementation of real estate development projects. The course methodology pairs case studies with the experience and expertise of New Orleans and national practitioners. Cases are structured thematically around development, financing and neighborhood typology topics to give students the opportunity to deploy the skills being developed in other MSRED coursework to a range of contexts and

SRED 6100

In this course, students will master basic concepts of finance (with a special focus on risk and time) that influence capital markets, the decisions of lenders and investors, and deal feasibility. They will learn about the financial dynamics of a real estate project; how income collected from operations, property operating expenses, funding sources and project costs interact together and influence one another.
