All classes are suspended for the week of March 16. Starting the week of March 23, all classes will resume entirely online. Tulane School of Architecture (TuSA) remains open with most faculty and staff working remotely. Students can be granted access to work in the building only with prior approval from the school. At this time, we are not hosting admissions tours.

Please continue to check your Tulane email, Canvas, the TuSA COVID-19 FAQ, and the Tulane Emergency Management page for updates.

Tulane is working with students who have difficult personal circumstances that would make leaving campus a challenge or will face complications in online learning once they return home. In response, we have set up the Tulane Student Emergency Aid and Assistance Fund to address current student needs.

Professors of Practice Eean McNaughton and Michael Nius Honored

January 02, 2013
Michael Nius and Eean McNaughton

The Tulane School of Architecture faculty and staff gathered at the Round Table Club on December 18, 2012 to honor two long-standing and revered colleagues. Professors Michael Nius and Eean McNaughton stepped down at the end of the 2012 academic year. Both made substantial contributions to generations of students through their teaching, mentorship, and the quality of their own architectural practices.

The event was hosted by Dean Kenneth Schwartz who offered an overview of the impact of the honoree’s teaching. Favrot Professor Errol Barron FAIA and Koch Chair and Professor of Architecture John Klingman added their warm words, remembering several memorable attributes from each of their two colleagues.

On behalf of the entire Tulane School of Architecture community of students, faculty, staff, and many alumni, we thank Eean McNaughton and Michael Nius for their dedication to the School. You have laid an amazing and solid foundation for which our students and school will be forever grateful.
