Guillermo Lockhart Milan

Predoctoral Teaching Fellow

Guillermo Lockhart Milan (b. 1985 / Salto, Uruguay) is a graduated architect from ORT University Uruguay. He earned his Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Design (MPAA) at ETSA-Madrid, where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate. Within the teaching field, from 2016 to 2018 he was a teaching Professor at ORT University on Theory and Practice of Architecture, and Critical Analysis of Contemporary Architecture. He has given lectures in Uruguay, Peru, and Spain, and is currently collaborating at Iñaki Ábalos Unit in the Master of Architecture at ETSAM.

He dedicates his professional activity to residential programs and especially affordable housing and socially-engaged projects.

He has published different articles in Uruguay and Spain, and is editorial assistant of the book Ph.D. Cult #01, a guide to ongoing Ph.D. research on architectural design. He is currently working as an independent architect based in Madrid, with connections in Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Lima.
