All classes are suspended for the week of March 16. Starting the week of March 23, all classes will resume entirely online. Tulane School of Architecture (TuSA) remains open with most faculty and staff working remotely. Students can be granted access to work in the building only with prior approval from the school. At this time, we are not hosting admissions tours.

Tulane is working with students who have difficult personal circumstances that would make leaving campus a challenge or will face complications in online learning once they return home. In response, we have set up the Tulane Student Emergency Aid and Assistance Fund to address current student needs.

Cornell Sneed


TYLR 3000 - Taylor Your Life


Cornell Sneed joined the Tulane University community in October 2016 as the Senior Academic Counselor for the men’s basketball team. Within his role, he counsels and advises the men’s basketball team on their academic matters to help keep them on track for success and graduation. Sneed also oversees the personal, professional, and leadership development of over 300 student-athletes as part of the Athletic Department’s student-athlete enhancement program. Sneed has been teaching SISE 4820: Taylor Your Life since Fall of 2017.

Prior to Tulane, Sneed worked at the University of Memphis as the Life Skills Coordinator, an Academic Counselor, and an Adjunct Faculty Member teaching career development courses for upper-class student-athletes and an academic strategies course for frosh first-generation students and frosh student-athletes from 2014-2016. Before then, he worked at East Tennessee State University as a Graduate Assistant and Assistant Academic Advisor from 2012-2014.

Sneed was a scholarship Division I Track & Field Honors Student-Athlete at East Tennessee State University from 2008-2012. There he also earned three degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Criminology in 2012, a Master of Arts in Sport Management in 2013, and a Doctor of Education in Global Sport Leadership in 2018. He also earned a Master of Science in Academic Advising from Kansas State University in 2015. Sneed is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri.
