Tulane School of Architecture (TuSA) is open, post-Hurricane Ida. We are currently operating with remote instruction. In-person instruction will resume on Sept. 27. Catherine Pugh Gergen


Catherine Pugh Gergen joined Tulane University at the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in July 2016 as a Career Advisor. In her role, she serves undergraduate and graduate public health students on all career and professional development topics. Through individual advising, group programming, document review, and managing Handshake for public health students, Gergen provides guidance on topics such as starting a job/internship search, tailoring a cover letter to an organization, or negotiating salary offers. She is excited to expand her reach within the Tulane Community as a Taylor Your Life instructor and helping more students realize how they can tailor and design their lives.

Gergen is native to the Gulf Coast, growing up in Mobile, Alabama. She moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University New Orleans, where she studied Psychology. She began working in Supported Employment in the private sector, working in conjunction the Louisiana Workforce Commission to provide career services to individuals with disabilities or impairments to work. Gergen is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
