Monumental Task Committee, Inc.

The Monumental Task Committee, Inc. (MTC) is in search of a paid intern to support their historical preservation work. MTC is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 which is dedicated to cleaning, restoring, and maintaining all monuments in the Greater New Orleans Area. The approximately 250 monuments are visible icons of our culture and they commemorate important people and moments in our history. These works of art and history include public sculptures, plaques, and markers covering a wide variety of construction techniques and materials.

As a mostly volunteer organization, the MTC has a successful 30 year track record of monument restoration and maintenance. Smaller projects involve cleaning a monument, while larger ones can involve construction to address foundation erosion, stabilization, and repair/replacement of broken parts.

For more information on the position and how to apply, please see the attached flyer.
