Ana Patricia Minguito

Pre-Doctoral Teaching Fellow- Architecture

Ana Patricia is an architect and urban designer, graduated with honors from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She was awarded for the best undergraduate academic record in the area of Architecture and Building in 2018. The Master's Degree Thesis received the Second Prize of the Official College of Architects of Madrid in 2019 and a nomination for the YTAA 2020 Awards of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation. She has completed an additional Master's Degree, whose thesis topic on "Symbiotic Landscape: towards an environmental reconciliation between humans and non-humans" is now being continued in the PhD Program.

Ana Patricia's research focuses on the intersections of architectural practice and landscape theory through the discovery of past, present and future agendas with symbiotic connections of balance between nature and human works.

Throughout her academic career, she has been awarded several scholarships for academic excellence. Her architectural projects and theoretical theses have been published in different books and digital platforms. She has also participated in international seminars specialized in border areas and wood construction.

Ana Patricia has been teaching undergraduate and graduate students since 2019 as an assistant professor in Architectural Projects and History of Architecture and Urbanism at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. At the same time, she has published some research as papers in conferences and outreach articles in some scientific journals.

She has developed a professional career as a senior architect in "SUMA Architecture" office, leading a team of junior architects as head of the "Department of Architectural Design and Research." She has been a curator of exhibitions as well as a member of the organizing committee of congresses. Her pictorial and professional works has been exhibited at Matadero Madrid, DIMAD Madrid Central Designers Association or "Plaza de Oriente" in Madrid.
