Melissa Rome

Melissa Bauld Rome is a founding Partner of Rome Office, based in New Orleans. She is a registered architect with professional experience in a number of design fields including architecture, product, lighting, graphic, and urban design.

She has practiced for over eight years in the United States and Spain. Before founding Rome Office, Melissa was a Project Designer at BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) in New York City. At BIG she served as both Project Designer and Manager for the award-winning, Vancouver House development slated to be completed in the fall of 2019.

Prior to joining BIG, she was an Associate at CAZA Architects in Brooklyn where she was Project Manager for the RBA House and the OsmeƱa Boulevard Plan, both of which are currently under construction in the Philippines. She received her Master of Architecture degree from Yale University where she was awarded the James Gamble Rodgers Fellowship in recognition of outstanding performance in critical thought and design. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Language from Clemson University.
