PRST 6810 - Economics & Practice of Historic Preservation

Courtney Williams is the Director of Operations at Cypress Building Conservation, an architectural conservation firm specializing in hands-on restoration and historic materials analysis. Before co-founding Cypress, Courtney worked as a GIS specialist at PlaceEconomics, a Washington, D.C.-based real estate and economic development consulting firm. Using mapping software to analyze property and population data, her research focused on the economic impacts of historic preservation. Courtney also has ample experience in the restoration building trades, specializing in window restoration and interior painting. 

Courtney earned a BA in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the College of Charleston and an MS in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches in the Master of Preservation Studies program.
