AJ Brooks is co-founder and CEO of Ley Line Development, a privately-owned real estate development company based in New Orleans, Louisiana. With a focus on urban infill and historic rehabilitation projects, AJ specializes in incentive-based development and is responsible for placing over $30 million in real estate assets in service over the course of his career. Prior to his work at Ley Line, AJ worked as an asset manager at Gibbs Development where he actively managed a large portfolio of multifamily and office real estate assets. AJ began his career as financial analyst at Stonehenge Capital where he concentrated on underwriting and financing large-scale commercial projects throughout the country. AJ teaches “Introduction to Real Estate Finance and Economics” and “Case Studies in Sustainable Real Estate Development” as part of the MSRED Summer and Spring semesters, respectively.
