News Chris Cooper (TSA ‘91) serves as a senior designer on SOM’s 7 WTC
Chris Cooper, Senior Designer for SOM in New York City and Class of 1991 Alumnus, contributed to the unique skin “7 World Trade Center.” Featured in the August 2007 edition of Architectural Record 7 WTC is the only building to be reconstructed since 9/11. According to Russell Fortmeyer, senior editor for Architectural Record the building is “a significant [additional] artifact to Manhattan’s unparalled collection of skyscrapers.” Chris worked with artist Jenny Holzer and with glass artist James Carpenter (James Carpenter Design Associates) on the sophisticated glass skin of the building.
