This renovation of a mid-century modern house in the Black Perl neighborhood included the demolition of most of the interior while salvaging and reusing existing materials where possible, reworking the façade and reconceiving the layout of several areas in order to improve the flow of the space as well as renewing electrical and plumbing and replacing light fixtures. The façade of the house was enhanced with larger second story windows and fiber cement paneling functioning as a rain screen while channeling the spacing and rhythm of the original.  Full Article
