Allison Albericci (TSA '04) and Adrianne Steichen (TSA '01) to present at the American Planning Association’s 2015 National Planning Conference

Jan 21, 2015

Allison Albericci (TSA '04) and Adrianne Steichen (TSA '01) will present at the American Planning Association’s 2015 National Planning Conference in Seattle on April 18th. Their session, entitled “Deconstructing Density,” will explore the complex and often controversial topic of density, using pioneering case studies from the San Francisco Bay area and elsewhere to demonstrate how trends in mixed-use, multi-family, and transit-oriented neighborhood development are manifesting more sustainable and livable communities. The interdisciplinary panel will illustrate the role density can play in achieving neighborhood goals (such as affordability) and the thresholds necessary to support key amenities and services. They will also describe strategies to focus development conversations on community needs and benefits.
