Dr. Elizabeth Townsend Gard, the SISE Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Professor of Social Enterpreneurship, along with her husband Ron Gard, J.D., Ph.D, who also teaches at Tulane, are pleased to be selected as Propeller Social Venture Fellows for 2013-2014.  Dr. Townsend Gard is co-inventor of the Durationator® technology, which is a software system that helps determine the copyright status (copyright or public domain?) of any kind of work—poem, movie, song, photograph, etc.—for every jurisdiction in the world.  Tulane University has been very supportive of the research and development of this project for the last six years, and now has licensed the technology to Dr. Ron Gard, to begin a spin-out company called Limited Times.   At an earlier stage, the technology was assisted by Idea Village and its entrepreneur IVEC program, including a pairing with UC Berkeley Haas School of Business through IdeaCorp.  Now, at this later stage, the Gards are excited to be working on social and economic strategies with which to bring the technology and services of the Durationator® to market.    Limited Times is one of fifteen social ventures chosen for the 2013-2014 class.  For more information see, http://gopropeller.org/ and for local news coverage see:
