What factors shaped preservation efforts in New Orleans from the 19th century to today and what will the future of architectural preservation be in the region? That’s the focus of this one-day symposium, with the theme Preservation in New Orleans: Looking Back, Moving Forward.
Expert speakers include John Stubbs, Tulane director of Preservation Studies; Tulane geographer Richard Campanella; archivist and historian Howard Margot of The Historic New Orleans Collection; Tulane architectural historian Ann Masson; architect and architectural historian Robert Cangelosi; Preservation Resource Center Executive Director Danielle Del Sol; and former PRC Interim Executive Director Jack Davis. $40/$25 for students.
