Alan Karchmer

Architecture Photography Workshop

Information Session

Alan Karchmer has the eye of an architect. With a Master’s degree from Tulane School of Architecture, he brings to his photography an authoritative sense of space, form, texture, light and use.

In this one day workshop designed for architecture students, Alan will give an overview of his architectural photography's practice and workflow. He will cover technical issues such as equipment, quality of light, and principles of composition in addition to more business minded topics such as working with architects and clients. Using the Lavin Bernick Center as a subject, Alan will demonstrate his workflow from photo shoot organization to capture techniques and image post production.
