Favrot Visiting Chair Lecture


A small reception will be held in the lobby of Richardson Memorial Hall prior to the lecture from 5:00pm - 6:00pm. The lecture, entitled "Opportunity Hides in Plain Sight" will begin at 6:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Julie Eizenberg, AIA is a founding principal at Koning Eizenberg Architecture. She teaches and lectures around the world and is a frequent advisor to the U.S. Mayor's Institure on City Design. She is also a Design Peer for the U.S. General Services Administration's Design Excellence Program. She has served as an AIA LA Director and AIA California Council representative, and is currently on the Board of Public Architecture. Eizenberg is also the author of Architecture isn't Just for Special Occasions and in 2012 received the AIA Los Angeles Gold Medal in recognition of a lasting influence on the theory and practice of architecture.

She is the Tulane School of Architecture's 2013 Favrot Visiting Chair for the fall semester and will be co-teaching an upper level design studio with Judith Kinnard, FAIA.
