Architectural Production Design

Lecture
A different kit of parts and a different set of rules. Designing for "load-in" and "load-out" creates a new set of architectural parameters specific to the needs of the event production industry. Live entertainment is inherently mobile and fast paced, the assembly of the environments it uses must therefore be equally quick and mobile. These environments must also envelope the audience creating an immersive spectacle that can build fan loyalty and reaffirm collective participation. The ultimate goal becomes being the fastest as well as the grandest; most mobile, most intense, most portable, and most sincere.
