New Orleans Mentorship Program

Women 4 Climate

Mentors in New Orleans’ Women4Climate program will share their knowledge and experiences, supporting the mentees to become powerful leaders in climate-related fields, including politics, nonprofits, business, media, and community groups. Local Women4Climate mentees will learn how to support the implementation of the City of New Orleans’ Climate Action Strategy, which aims to cut greenhouse gases in half by 2030, through activities related to energy, waste, transportation and culture / workforce.

Applicants for the Women4Climate mentorship program must demonstrate ongoing commitment to or interest in climate action in cities and innovative projects or approaches in the area of business, activism / community impact, STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art or Math) or Education. (Current or future projects are eligible.) Projects should involve the citizens and communities of New Orleans wherever possible. The goals of the project can be global, but they need to be related to climate action at the local level. Click here for further information about application criteria.

For application questions, or if you are interested in becoming a Mentor for the program, please contact cpollan@nola.gov or visit https://w4c.org/mentorship/women4climate-new-orleans
